Anyone that's been in camp with me can tell you that I'm always late; late showing up, late to bed, late to wake up. If it weren't for the Navy giving me a ride to Iraq, I probably would've been the last Marine to the invasion. So it's no surprise that I'm just now saying thank you to the mighty Biscuit and Ka-Bar for their generosity in the Anchors Aweigh giveaway.

I had a pretty good road trip or two finding a good anchor and ended up using our local VFW's. The knife that was used was my great grandpa's Ka-Bar folder.

It's totally my fault that this is just now getting posted. The MK1 arrived the day before I left for the Fall Beckerhead gathering. I sent a text to Guyon to let him know I received it and would put up a post after the Gathering. I haven't decided how I'll use the knife yet, but she'll get used. She's a beauty for sure. Thanks again Biscuit and Ka-Bar for making this a great community!

Nice slice of steel. Looks just like mine and its about 2 yrs old heh...

It sees very light duty.

Personally,

I think the Mk1 is a sleeper. Doesn't get a ton of love. Not as cool as a Becker or a KA-BAR. But when you put it into use. It reall shines. It's not too big, or too heavy, or too small. Like Goldie said, it's just right!

Enjoy,

My Kraton handled version is top notch. It truelly is an overlooked sleeper. The FFG and overall blade geometry makes it a real kean slicer though it maintains enough stock thickness to be used hard. It's a pleasure to use in camp and the kitchen! Congrats and keep us posted on how you like the performance!

Congratulations again! Awesome knife, Murph. I love mine in Kraton, but I still pine for the leather. I haven't been able to give mine the attention it deserves yet, but I plan on making it my primary blade next time I'm out and about.

Way cool! Congrats. I have a Kraton Mk1 and it is about perfect. They make wonderful knives.:thumbup:
