I will probably get severely flamed, but I want to tell it like it is.
After just 3 days as a member of that forum, I have resigned.

So, I cannot say that I was the first to get banned.
That honour awaits one of you unsuspecting little lambs.

My friend wolfmann and I joined because we are Emerson owners and love the brand.

Their site is well constructed and some big names are there.
There are some very decent, well liked individuals and traders participating, but
There is also an inner core of not so nice wannabees that are in a position of power.

We poked a bit of fun by ragging a few of the better-known identities of this forum (Spark included) and we all had a good laugh. ( so Ill eat crow if I have to).

But sadly it is very much a club for a tight circle of Usual Suspects.
There seems to be more moderators than members and they chat among themselves, congratulating each other and basking in a self generated warm glow.

It is their site and they may tolerate you, if you make all the right noises.
However, if you have a friend who is part of their Forum mafia, you will be alright.

Whether or not the term Usual Suspect will continue to be a credit to the Emerson brand name remains to be seen.

This thread could have could easily deteriorated into an unnecessary flame war, but due to your consideration has not.
I never expected such a large reaction.

I do not want to get into specifics.
I also do not want to start a slanging match.

If you are comfortable there fine.
I was not.

It may well be that there is a generation gap.
I was serving in a real army, fighting a real war
Before the majority of members were born.
It may well be that pretenders dont impress me.

I told it like I found it.

Im not trying to start anything here just wanted to know what you reasons were. I looked quickly through your posts and i don't see where you would think you were mistreated. Also im not sure who you are calling pretenders. Anyway to each his own i guess. Take care.---Kevin

For someone who doesn't want to get into a "slanging match" you sure know how to go about it.

Intimating that people you don't know are "wannabes" is somewhere around Number 3 on the "Top Ten Ways To Start a Flame War" list.

Considering that this entire thread is on the wrong website, and that the vague disparagements within it wouldn't do any good even if they had been posted on the correct website, I'm locking this one down.

Call it preventive maintenance.

If you wanna complain about BFC, you go to the Tech Support Forum. If you wanna complain about USN, do it at USN.
