Utah Knife Makers?

I was just wondering if anyone might know of any knife makers residing in Northern Utah? I know Mr. and Mrs. Warenski live in Utah, but I think they're more central/southern?

I've been wanting to try my hand at designing/making knives for a long time and finally decided to start out with some kit knives. (thought I'd better get off my butt and start with something...not getting any younger!) I was just curious if there was anyone close to where I live(Layton, Ut...30 miles N. of SLC) that I could talk to and get some advice from personally. I'm an A.F. Hydro Mechanic, but I have a limited working knowledge of tools normally associated with creating a knife...I was hoping to learn some tricks of the trade if there was anyone around here.

If anyone can help me out...I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Thanks JonnyO!

That's crazy...I had no idea Entrek was just a few miles from where I live! I don't own any Entreks...but I do own an old Montroc Ronin. If I'm not mistaken, weren't they produced by Mr. Ennis?

Guess I'll have to make a call/email this weekend and hopefully get a chance to meet Mr. Ennis and make a new friend!

Thanks again JonnyO

I ran into Entrek at the Denver Knife Show this summer. He has some nice designs. Prefers 440C as his steel of choice. Very nice guy. Spoke with him longer than the time I spent in the rest of the show.....

I think Johnson is in South Jordan? Go to some of the gunshows, they happen about every two months. There's usually 5-6 hand crafters there with their own work. Some from Id, and around.
