Hi,

I am new to FB so I apologize for any missteps. I recently came across a Utica Cutlery Utica, NY hawkbill single blade knife. Usually these knives are marked Kutmaster but this one is not. I cant seem to locate any information on how old or unusual this knife is.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It used to be, according to the lady who used to run their factory store, that "kutmaster" was reserved for the made in Utica stuff. Not the case anymore, after their rectification of names.
I've found they answer their e-mail promptly; I'd ask them what they can tell you about your stamp.

moved to its own thread to give it better visibility.

Does the tang stamp look like this? Hard without a picture.

My only old Utica's tang stamp is really worn out so a picture is out of the question of the stamp but this is how one reads and then a model # on the back of the blade in my case a 29
