Has anyone tried the new Utica knifes in 1095 carbon. If so how does it compare to Case Cv in taking an edge and holding an edge.

I ordered one today was just wondering how they were. I will let you know when i get it in and use it some.

I have a Utica Barlow. Fit and finish are pretty good, but the springs are very weak. I'm thinking about trying another to see if that is the norm or an aberration.

I haven't gotten the chance to pick up any of the new models, but I have gotten ahold of a few older Utica/Kutmaster stockmans. 50's/60's to 70's. Sharpened them two weeks ago, all are hair popping sharp, just on a ceramic rod. Some of them still have good snap, and barely any wiggle. Considering their age, I'd say that's not bad. I am interested to see what others think of the new ones.
