Just curious if anyone has had any experience with their new knives. I am interested in their 3 7/8" stockman. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks, 22 Hornet

There have been several threads about the current knives over the past months...if you use the search button you can check those. Don't know if they discussed the specific knife you are interested in, however.

I have been intersted in these before as well. I never purchased one, because there is a serious lack of information on them, and I hated to take a gamble with my money. I did read one short review on a popular dealer's site, and the reviewer said that the spring tension was disapointing. I can't really help you, but if you do purchase one, please post your thoughts on its quality and whatnot. Because not many others have.

I came to the same conclusion after I did a search. There seems to be a lot of interest and curiosity, but apparently few have taken the plunge. There were several threads similar to mine but few results.

^^ Yep you are correct. I suspect the reason that hardly anyone has responded to this thread is because nobody has any experience with them. Like I said earlier, if you get one, please tell us about it's quality, or maybe even post a review. That would be great! I guess you could order it from a reputable dealer, and if it sucks, just send it back.

I have a Utica Barlow. Springs are very weak. I don't know if I got an aberration or if all the Barlows are that way. Aside from that, the fit and finish is pretty good. (I mean, we aren't talking GEC fit and finish at this price point.) Haven't gotten around to trying the stockman yet.

F & F isn't too terrible on the newer Utica/Kutmasters they are by no means a GEC or Case but IMO they are a step up from Rough Riders and the like and way better than Bear.
