I can't help but feel that Utica is kinda blowing an oportunity to get themselves a bigger piece of the remaining U.S. made traditional knife buying market. One, their reinroduction in offering more american made products, has remained kinda off the radar. They could surely stand a bit better marketing on their Catskill, Adirondack, and Big Pine series. Also, though their quality can be pretty good, their consistancy could definitely improve. What they got going for them is good pricing, proven 1095 steel in the catskill and big pine series, they being US made, and their ability to make a decent product. I think it's awesome that they brought in these three series... but can't help but to notice that they are coming up a wee bit short on a few things, and that a little tweeking in marketing and production QC, could really shoot the company up into a bigger spotlight. One wonders why they are letting themselves be so close, and yet so far, from achieving this.
