Utilitac 1 or2?

Good day, I'm going to buy a Utilitac today for weekend camping trip. And I can't seem to find any info on the difference between the two knives. I can see that they have different handles and the II can be had with a tanto blade. Other then that what I'm I missing? Is one better then the other ? Thanks in advance.
 
I can only vouch for the 2, but I can tell you that I'd carry the 2 as my only knife on a camping trip any day that ends in "y".
 
The Utilitac I is smaller and has a slighter build. The Utilitac II is much beefier. I sold my Utilitac I but still have the Utilitac II and it provides one of the best values out there, they have somewhat of a cult following on this forum similar to the Ontario Rat I and Spyderco Tenacious which are also high function and high value knives.
 
The Utilitac I also used 440 blade steel and had a more rounded grip. As far as I know, the UT1 is discontinued for some time now.
 
Thanks for the replies. I ordered a UT II with the Rat looking handle. I'll let my wife use the Rat 1 for this trip. Good excuse for a new knife :D
