I'm sure there are a lot of people with experience using these knives. I'm planning to get one of them. Which would you suggest and why?

Of course I'm leaning towards 1 of them but I wanted to see some personal experiences with these knives before I make my decision.

I'll be using it as an outdoor carry (Camping, Hunting, Hiking, Fishing, Etc.)
I'll probably seldom use it for actual EDC though it's nice to have something with options.

If you have other suggestions, keep them under $30. That's the challenge and my budget on this knife purchase. I don't see it worth spending more for a folder I'm going to abuse.

Thanks in advance to anyone who posts.

Edit: How are the serrations on the Rat1 combo edge? I'm curious since I tend to prefer serrations on knives for this purpose IF the serrations work well.

Rat 1 is much better suited to outdoor use - camping/hunting and the like, mainly just because of size. The Cryo is a small EDC blade, but the Rat 1 is very capable of much more. Tough as nails!

I have both the Rat 1 and Cryo and I think the Rat 1 is a better knife overall, especially for the price.

For the uses you mention, I would agree with Sterculius that the RAT-1 is likely the best choice of the three options you list.
You might also consider Spyderco Tenacious.

If its the only knife you plan to take, for "outdoor carry (Camping, Hunting, Hiking, Fishing, Etc.)", I would think a fixed blade would be a better choice, but you're the best judge of your intended use.

I have a RAT-1 and Cryo. I prefer the Cryo over RAT-1 for EDC due to its size. For camping and outdoor activities, the larger RAT-1 might be preferable.

I don't care for serrations. With that being said my Rat 1 is my only knife with them and those suckers are like shark teeth. They'll rip through whatever you need with ease and with their shape they're very easy to touch up. Just have to slide the corner of a Sharpmaker rod through a few times. It would be perfect if there were only four teeth instead of seven that way you'd have a bit more plain edge with the four still being efficient.

The Rat I or the Utilitac II, the Utilitiac II is like a poor man's ZT0350, thicker and wider blade than the Rat I and very robust. I really like mine.
