Thought I'd share my personal knife...I finally made one.;) 7 1/2 in. 1075 blade, machine finish, blackwood handle, tapered/fullered tang, field grade David Seward leather sheath. Nothin' pretty or fancy, just a lightweight knife to knock around camping and hunting. It has already seen duty last Saturday cutting shooting lanes for deer season. I was pleased with its performance especially for a smaller knife...it cuts and keeps coming back for more. Thanks for lookin', comments welcome.

weird, I just drew up a pattern that looks almost identical! So, consider me biased when I say; "AWESOME"!!! :)

Looks good Ben. I like it quite a bit. Looks like it would be a really good slasher and slicer. And you can't go wrong with blackwood and 1075. :)

Thanks guys. That is funny, Lorien...I'd like to see a pic of yours just for kicks:). John, this thing actually chops quite well. I was taking down 2-3 inch saplings with ease. Its small and light enough to carry but big enough to get the job done.

Good looking, Ben.

Nice blade, neat swedge and handle, cool sheath; just good all around.

John

If it was for sale I would buy it in a heartbeat! Very cool knife! :thumbup:

sorry it's a little faint;

I'm currently working away it this one using 8mm thick Boehler L6. Kind of a brute to cut with a hacksaw:rolleyes: I need some power tools.

You do need some power tools, Lorien! I like the drop of the handle on yours...that's something I would probably change on my next one. They are very close though!

Thanks y'all. Lorien, you've got your work cut out for you...lol! I think I have less time forging one than you have in cutting one. Have you considered a hammer?

man, I'd be happy with a new hacksaw frame!
