Here's another order finished.

I've done a similar knife before but the handle shape on this one is a bit different and this one has the textured panel on the bolsters. That really adds a nice bit of grip in certain hand holds.

1084 steel
8 3/4" overall, 4 1/2" blade (4" sharp), .075" at the ricasso
False edge
Black g-10 bolsters, dovetailed and textured
Olive green g-10 scales
Black carbon pins and thong hole liner
Black g-10 tang liners
Tapered tang

WOW John, One of my favorites that Black and OD Green are done perfectly. I like everything about it, the contoured handle looks super comfy too. Nice Work as always!

So new here, and to knife making as well. Haven't yet made my first knife, but I'm reading and learning as much as I can before I start. Anyway I'm posting to your thread because that is a nice looking knife. I was also curious how you got the blade to look like that. Is that from multiple quenches, or something else?

W.o.w.
John, you just edged out two of my earlier favorites of yours.

Twice I filed jimping too far back on the spine and the handles overlapped the first 'jimp'. I filed it through, much like that - but you've clearly done it on purpose, and it shows. :-)
Seeing it done on purpose on your knife makes me feel a little less like a dolt.

How did you texture the black G10? that stuff is burly.
