I recently dropped my larger Emersons. More interested in smaller models now. What does everyone recommend for utility use: Mini Commander, Mini CQC-15 and the Endeavor. Thanks for your input.

I used a horseman for years and it did the job. Regular size CQC-7B is my go-to these days.

When I had a 15 I sharpened out the tanto transition to create a single edge and it was perfect and easier to maintain. Wish I didn't trade that knife away, but you could easily do that to a mini-15

My edc for the last 5 years has been an A-100. Slim, doesn't take up much pocket space. Spear-type blade good for lots of tasks.

I still have a mini A100 but since its discontinuation, I put it away. I no longer carry the Horseman or the full size A100.... the handle lengths are a bit too long. I carry in my coin pocket.

FWIW, 7AW & B are my current rotation.

I would go 15 per your choices, as that's probably my next one!

Unless I can find a Raven ...

I remember that! You're the one who turned me onto that one because of that statement. Just not sure if full size would fit my straight thumb better!

Ironically, I kinda can't stand the PM2 now lol.

BTW I hope your situation is being resolved in a mature timely manner, my friend.

Prayers for ya buddy.

I've posted in the past that the Mini15 is my "Emerson PM2", meaning it handles a LOT of tasks VERY well.

I like the endeavor, but mostly because its thumb hole allows use of the whole blade without a thumb disk sometimes getting in the way. Otherwise, the mini-15 is a pretty good choice with its unique blade design and slightly smaller handle profile. I opted to sharpen the tanto and recurve separately on the mini. Some pictures below to help you decide :)

Leaning toward the Endeavor for utility and ease of sharpening. I think I won't be happy with the dual edge configuration of the Mini 15.

I have an Endeavor, Horseman, mini roadhouse, mini 7 and have had mini 15 and a commander. I will say the I have found the horseman and the endeavor best for edc

I have a roadhouse, mini roadhouse, a100, mini cqc15, cqc7a and a snubby. Cqc7a is by far the best edc’er.

Hard to beat a Horseman for you stated objective(s) - likewise for the regular size CQC-7B. Come to think of it a SOCFK would do you well as well.

Managed to get a combo edge mini Commander. This one is perfect for edc. Traded my Horseman for it. Now my collection
Consists of the MComm and an A100. Gave my Specwar to my brother, traded my -7 for an OTF and safe queened my mini A100 since they were disc'd.
