This one is about as basic as they get. First time using "natural flavored" micarta. Not sure if I like it or not. Hollow ground 0-1 at 7 1/4 oal with a 3 1/2 blade. Let me know your comments, both good and bad. :D

Thanks for looking.

I'm not sure why I did such a strange looking sheath -- I'm not sure if I like it or not.

Michael,

Yeeeouu Baby. You're on it now.

Really glad you included the close-up of the plunge. Must be a reflection in one of the other pics, but it looked off. Obviously in the closeup it ain't.

Very nice on the grinds, I must say.

I'm not too crazy about the handle.

But the blade is sure is nice work: grinds, blade shape, finish - I like it.

Steve

Thanks for the kind words.

My plan was to have a leather sheath for it, and still plan on making one. I got bored though and decided to make a quick kydex one (sure takes less time than leather :D ).

Looks good. The blade shape will work great for a utility hunter and I have always liked the look of natural Micarta.

The knife is a beauty. It would however be even better with a leather sheat :) . Just my opinion.

0-1, natural micarta, what's not to like :D Gotta be a great worker, the handle looks like it will provide a very secure grip, tho might not fit every hand perfectly.
Of course, a leather sheath would really set up (so sayeth the leather-guy :) ) Doesn't take THAT long to make a good basic working sheath.
No maker's mark?
MtMike

For someone skilled leather might not take long, but for me it takes forever! :D

I've yet to invest in an electro-chem unit so I take mine in to an engraver to have my name put on. This one hasn't made it in yet.

Michael, simple is good, and that one is GOOD. It has flavours of Dozier, and the colour of the handle reminds me of Lynn Griffiths knives - seen a lot of tan-natural canvas Micarta. The grinds look spot on. This would make a super-anything knife. Personally reckon you should make it a regular piece in your catalog. It would do well as a utility, hunter, neck knife and put a 1-1/2inch sharpened clip on the top and it would be some awesome tactical piece... Offer some handle material variations ...

I think you're onto something good here. Jason.
