I just received a Spec-Ops Combat Master sheath for my BATAC SE. Fits perfectly.

As you know there is a utility/tool pouch in the front. I was just curious what you guys keep in it. On my big choppers, like the DF, I keep a fire starter, dryer lint, etc... things that would be useful in the wilderness. But I am in the urban setting 99% of the time so I was thinking of keeping something like a small flash light, multi-tool, pry-baby, etc... there that would be useful in an urban setting. But regardless of your setting I was just curious of what you guys keep in such a pouch and why. Thanks. :)

I have the survival sheath model. Inaddition to a CG BATAC I have a oval film canistor with vasoline soaked cottonbals, two pieces of pitchwood, a small metal match/cedar/magnesium fire starter and a small LED keychain light made by Inova. I also left the stock section of 550 cord attached. This way if I get seperated from the rest of my gear I have some fire and shelter making capabilites and a small amount of light to work by.

Those are good ideas. I am not as concerned w/ fire making when in an urban scenario. I am thinking of a good multi-tool, a mini pry bar of some kind, compact light, and some 550 cord for starters.

For sharpening, and to save space, I was thinking about some sandpaper, ;) I figure if I am in an urban setting, I will not have trouble finding a sharpening medium in the after math of a disaster. In the wilderness I would definitely have a stone or something to sharpen with. ;)

The knife and gear in the pouch is part of my SAR gear but I also carry this knife when I go camping. I like having it all right there even when I'm just relaxing around camp.

I do like hearing other ideas so keep them coming.

Fire starter (mag block) - Pencil size/shaped sharpener - Flashlight (LED)

What else do ya need! ;)

folder. big knife small knife theory. when you get back home safe sharpen both for next adventure. does badger qualify as big?

small flashlight AND extra battery in case of a real emergency, some 550 too.

BTW, just got in a fenix LOD (aaa size with a cree led) -- man, this thing is amazing. With a 3.6v lithium battery it smokes my old surefire g2 incan easily. In a AAA size! This is my first cree and I'm blown away.

Now I'll have to figure out what to do with all that extra space in the pouch!
