UTS tracking school -- how are they?

Howdy all..

Just received word that UTS is teaching a class in the South-central Idaho area in a couple weeks. I was considering going, but wanted to know what y'all thought of 'em, and how they compared to other teachers out there. Application is primarily SAR, plus possibly huntin' down the line, if it's generalized enough.

Their website:

Thanks all!

(PS -- thanks to all who recommened the wiggy's bags on previous threads -- just tried one, and very happy!)

Thanks tknife, I was actually considering it for a summer or from now, presuming he's teaching folks at that time. Oddly enough, I found out about him about a week after being up around Garden Valley for a SAR training. Beautiful country.

LA eh? my condolences..

thanks for the email reply as well (you know who you are) -- very helpful!

anyone else have any experience with UTS?

Gee thanks! I have been considering a move to either ID or MT. It will happen one of these days.

I would also recommend Ron's school. I don't know how much law enforcement-type tracking is going on there (

) but among wilderness schools one of the bests IMHO.
