Guys,

I know that this is a massively overworked topic but for some strange reason I wanted to enquire about your EDC options and felt that I should begin by sharing my choices;

Of course, given that I am predominantly based in the UK the knife options are only available when I have "good reason" - otherwise it is my trusty Spyderco UKPK in Foliage Green G10...

However, I am often shooting on the farm so have sufficent reason to carry... naturally, I would not carry all the knives on show but each is worthy of EDC outside of specific skinning, bushcraft, general purpose outdoors use.

I like the ESEE 3 as it carries flat and can readily be pocket carried even though it is a fixed blade.

I LOVE my ZT0550, especially since I treated it to the OD Monkey Edge scale.

My Spyderco Gayle Bradley is my best slicer bar none.

Small leather wallet works nicely

My Spyerco Sage 1 is my most pocketable, 'perfect' EDC folder

My Fallkniven TK3 in cocobolo is my classiest folder, especially in its custom pouch.

My Zippo is an old, trusted friend.

My new Zebralight SC80 is my most versatile flashlight (given that it runs on RCR123/AA battery options)

Tombow Airpress Pen in OD is short but works even upside-down(!) Just a reliable, comfortable pen. I now have 3!

My Magpul Iphone4 case is slim but effective (and is empty for this shot as I used my phone to take the picture!!)

Oh and that is a little leather stop with black and green compound on...

Cheers,

Ben

Bigger, but crappy phone photo...

And I didn't mention my watch(es) either an Omega Ocean Planet or a Lum-Tec M25 in tungsten. Love 'em both!

Cheers,

Ben

My EDC options are:

Les George Rockeye and VECP- I love them both and I feel like they can take on the world. Not to mention they're both extremely comfortable.

XM18 3.5 slicer- Decent cutter with some nice strength behind the blade. Just a great folder.

Sebenza- What isn't there to say?

Sage 2- It's like a mini VECP to me and the best secondary EDC. It's taken more abuse than it should and hasn't had a hiccup. One of THE best production folders out there.

Preon 2- Perfect sized light, and its pretty attractive. Perfect for my needs.

Leatherman Juice S2- Takes care of everything I need, I do not feel under whelmed like some do with it's size and tool selection. It has more that enough option for my uses.

Seiko Monster- A great look watch that I wear as a beater. I'm not afraid of getting it dinged up, but when cleaned up my orange faced Monster looks pretty spiffy!

That's all for now!

NICE!

Thanks for playing Zookie.

Your knife options easily out class mine. Maybe one day...

Cheers,

Ben

For my non-knife edc I carry a Saddleback leather id wallet, fenix ld01 flashlight, Fischer space pen bullet, and a paracord fob consisting of 4' of non-gutted 550 cord on my keychain.

In terms of knives, I always carry at least two, beginning with the victorinox mini champ on my keychain.

For larger, one handed knives I usually rotate through the following options depending upon what I'm wearing and where I'm going:

Benchmade 730-1202 Ares in m390
Benchmade 950 Rift
Benchmade Ritter mini grip with custom cuscadi cf micarta scales and m4 steel
Spyderco Para2
Spyderco Sage 2
ZT 0550
ZT 0350 (de-assisted)

In addition to one of those folders I carry a smaller secondary blade:

Spyderco dragonfly salt (serrated)
Spyderco dragonfly g10
Case slick black jack (graciously gifted to me by fellow bf member paulhilborn)
Case sway back jack (cv chesnut bone)

I think with all of my options I pretty well have my bases covered.

Well Heck mkjellgren,

I think your EDC is just fine! Funnily enough I entirely forgot about my stainless steel scaled Spyderco Dragonfly which lives in my 5.11 boot pocket!

I also just ordered a full-sized Ritter Grip and also have some Cuscadi OD micarta scales on the way for it - I guess that is what we call a coincidence despite my opting for the larger model...

I also regularly carry the Fenix E05 as a AAA powered back up.

Thanks for your input!

Ben
