UV darkening of leather

I'm kind of at a stand still on my sheath. I'm at a point my next step is to put it in the sunlight and darken it to a point I'm happy with. (which it definitely needs) However, we started into a stormy cycle at my place today and the skies will be overcast at least until Friday. Fluorescent lights put out UV rays, don't they? Could I hang a small platform under one of my fixtures and place the sheath on it under the lamps and darken the leather that way?

They do but not sure it is much. No harm in trying.

Thanks, Randy. I've had the sheath under the light (about 4 feet away) for the past 18 hours and there's very little difference..............as you suggested.

Guess I'll just go on to another project. Weatherman says we won't see sunlight at our place until at least Sunday. YUK!!

Try a grow light. They put out UV.
