UV (ultra violet) flashlight 254nm

Hi folks,

I am looking for a uv flashlight everywhere and cant find a single decend.
Chinese junk with too long wavelength or at home lights is what Ive found so far, but nothing that meets my criteria:
- 254nm is a must (already got a 365nm but want shorter wavelength)
- handheld flashlight
- high power, my last one has 3W output, seems ok so far
- no internal battery that cannot be switched. 18650 prefered, other types are also ok.

Any idea where to look?

What do I need that for? Fossiles and minerals.

Thanks in advance.

Michael

It seems like extremely few LED flashlights are made in that wavelength, with most lights/lamps being florescent tubes.

It might be more practical, even with the extra time/cost involved, to modify (or have it done) something like a Convoy S2 with the LED of your choice. The Convoy S2 in particular is a popular light for hobbyist modification because of its construction and relative low cost. Emisar makes a D4V2 mule (no optics/reflector) with 8 LEDs and offers it with 365nm UV; it can't hurt to ask if he'd make one with the 254nm LEDs of your choice.

INOVA X5 was available in a UV version. Very good lights, you might be able to find one secondhand on eBay.
