Okay, UC has made this knife in the U.S.A. of high quality steel, etc. Now I will rant. Take all of the stupid serration sh*t on the handles! Replace the aluminum scales with G10 or something! This is my point: I LOVE the blade design (and I have handled one)! The handle, on the other hand, is the worst I've ever held. Yeah it gives a great grip...if you want to rip your hand to shreds. I applaud UC for trying to better their knives, but they need to ask for and get some user suggestions. Just my opinion.

I've bought two UC knives over the last year, both were pretty much impulse purchases because of clearance prices. One was the Colt RocK Loc folder, the other a Colt M4 .

The Rock Loc is a US made knife the M4 is a Taiwan made Fred Carter design.

I really wanted to love the Rock Loc but it just fell short in the design area. It has grown on me, but you really don't want to pick it up and play with it.

So your right a little user feedback would have made this a winner.

The Fred Carter Colt knife was a pleasant surprise, it's a well designed, well made piece that just begs to be carried. The quality is reminiscent of the old Fred Carter Gigand knives. I tried to get another one at the sale price but they were gone....
