I recently bought a Uzi commander fixed blade tactical knife. I wanted something I could use and not worry if it would get ruined. I had my doubts but I was pleasantly surprised. It came razor sharp and it still is. As for the handle its wrapped with paracord and contoured and fits the hand quite well. I paid 29.95 for it with free shipping off ebay. Of course so called "knife guys" will put it down cause it was handcrafted in china. The steel is 8cr14. For my purposes its perfect. Thanks.

Welcome! Let's see some pics!

No one will rag on you for your choices. We like what we like. I will say that it was probably not handcrafted though.

I don't think it was handcrafted either but it says it on the blade. I might post some pics sometime but don't feel like it right now.

Is this the Battle, Field, Stealth, or Stealth II Commander? :D

I was gonna try to be nice, but, like you, I don't feel like it right now. So I'll just be one of those "so called 'knife guys'" you don't like. Whichever model it is? Not very good. One can do much better for $29.95. Sheesh, you could get a Mora Companion AND a Tram machete for that money.

The fixed blade is pretty tough. I had one when I was a kid.
However it came with one of the cryo treated Uzi Defender folders.
It fell apart in my pocket . Screws fell out. The liner did not fit well and the pocket clip snapped all from looking at it.
Enjoy it. Just stay away from anything that folds by them.
Matt

Not my cup of tea, but at least the laser engraving is more tasteful than some other more popular brands....*cough*Esee*cough*

You're just "that guy" sometimes, man.

What are you using it for? What do you and don't you like about it?

I'd be lying if I told you I've only owned high quality knives and I think most of the others here would be the same. My first knives were absolute junk. Sometimes I'll still buy a junk knife if I think there are some interesting design factors that I want to look at more closely. Use it and enjoy it mate. Learn to sharpen on it so you don't ruin a more expensive knife. When you're ready to buy something that's inexpensive but higher quality you will find heaps of advice and info here.

I'd also like to see some photos. The profile, ergonomics etc are all important. You could tell us what you use it for, the parts of the blade that see the most use and what that use has done to the knife. You can learn a lot from a cheap knife.

I bought this one a long time ago. But it's made of cryo-treated 154CM. It holds an amazing edge. Don't remember where it's made.

I don't mean to be too vulgar but I was looking at this knife and my cousin (Who lives with me, like a sibling) walked by and saw this on my screen.

Her- "Woah what sorta knife is that?!"

Me- "I don't know, looks sorta freaky though doesn't it?"

Her- "Ha! The handle looks like a robot sex toy, serrated for your pleasure!"

Followed by uncontrollable laughter on both ends

I've got the Uzi in the picture except without the camouflage. Definitely about as badass a looking knife as one can find. Mine's made in the USA but I like it anyway. As for you critics; go fondle your pathetic little Sebenzas. If you're ever assaulted by a 90 year old wheelchair bound granny it might actually save your life.

I agree, if you are ever attacked by an obese wheelchair bound WOW junkie only the Uzi will save your life. Don't even have to cut them, just whip it out and they will marvel at it's greatness.

In case you think I fall into the group of criticizers, not so(and if you didn't, then this is just explains the tone of my question). I'm open minded enough to concede that the handle may feel fine, it just looks brutal. Speaking of brutal, that's the adjective I'd use to describe that knifes looks. I like it aesthetically, but it wouldn't be my cup of tea as a user.
