Hey guys,

I'm looking into getting a V-gar system.
(technically prohib. in Canada if you can believe it, but WTF.

Should I wait for the leather belt?
Can you load it while still wearing it? Just wondering.

Steve,

I think James has the leather belts in now. Wait for it? That all depends on if that is truly what you want or not. If you can get away with the Nylon it will do just fine.

You have to take the belt off to load it, but it is a piece of cake once you get used to it, it is a very fast maneuver.

Don,

On his site the title "coming soon" is above the V-gar 3. I didn't realize that he had them in already. I was thinking that the leather might support the weight of a radio, pistol and other gear better than the nylon. I can usually get away with the nylon look 80% of the time.

VC,

I don't think it will pass Customs, but I travel to the US quite regularly and am in the process of getting an US P.O. box. I'm only 20 min from the border. (You didn't see this post. OK?

Thanks for the help guys.

And I am trying to make it to the Blade Show in June. It will be my first.

Looks like I'll have to find another way to get one. Does anyone know of a dealer that carries them near the US/Ontario borders? Why you ask... no reason, just curious

John,

Ask "TyStrat" about my vicious front choke with a V-Gar. I did one on him very slowly, but he has seen me do it at speed.

Don,

There probably won't be any gun owners here in the near future if things keep progressing as they are. I would probably move to Blaine, WA, just across the border. Our Federal Govt. feels that spending close to a Billion dollars on a program that will have Zero effect on anything is worth pursuing.

Oh well.

I'll be posting questions regarding immigration later.

Voodoo,

I'm sure there is a Post Office outlet or Mailboxes Etc. South of the Ont. border. It's good to have a US address. You save on shipping costs.

Steve,

Well, all I can say is, I wish people like you would move here and people like Rosie O'Donnell would move up there if that is the way things have to be.

I wonder if the items could be shipped separately.... The V-Gar, as regular readers of this forum are aware, is a tool for snagging cables out from under the floor of a sound stage ... and the belt is only a ordinary money belt, right? As long as they're shipped in separate packages....

Just a thought ... purely for informational and educational purposes only ...

I;ve had the privellage to handle a vgar 3 belt.. in case you want to know it is basially a vgar 2 with a polished steel D ring (you choose black or silver finish) (I think if I rememebr right) and a strip of eather sewn on top of the nylon. Just to dispell the curiosity.
