V-Grind Edge; Just Wondering if Anybody Else Did This?

I reprofiled the edge on my SH E to a 20 Degree V grind after it's last heavy use. I just couldn't get that "hair popping" compound edge back. But, I definitely know how to get the "hair popping" edge back on the V-Grind. Haven't used it hard yet so I was just wondering if anybody else hase done this and used it hard afterward.
Howz the V-Grind edge hold up compared to the original Compound Edge?

If you just flatten off the convex curvature of the edge you have made it weaker. However even flat ground 20 degrees or so is quite robust and you will want to be hacking on some really hard materials to induce edge failure of any kind.

My Battle Mistress currently has a fully convex edge with a really light curvature. The current method of sharpening I used was described in full here :
