Wondering if I can wear my Buck Naala or Becker Eskabar here in VA (under my shirt)?

TIA

You should check your local laws...IMHO you should be ok as long as the blade is under 3 inches and you don't take it out and start chasing cops down the street singing We Represent the Lollypop Guild!

...where are you getting "3 inches" from?

Anyway, Badhammer, neckers are in a strange area with regards to existing knife laws which contain obvious antiquated wording. Since they are technically fixed blades, despite being so small they often get lumped in with "dirk" and "bowie knife" (both of which are terms in VA's law). Mind, the statute only makes certain knife carry illegal if it is concealed.

If you ended up in court, this could go either way, but I know that several cases where people had knives that didn't match up. The courts in those cases ruled that they could be "any weapon of like kind as those enumerated in this subsection," but tempered this with the ruling that it only counts as a weapon of like kind IF it is carried with intent to use as a weapon. A man with a butterfly knife was found not-guilty because he stated to the officer searching him that he was a mechanic and it was for work, cemented by the pliars he had in the same pocket.

I just made a Lexan Black Shark Necker. Can I carry it under my shirt? It can punch a whole in a coconut and a car door!
