Finally got home yesterday afternoon. It was a great trip and had a lot of fun with the family. A lot of great knives were found, though in this thread I'm only posting the vintage finds (there are a few more of mine and my sons I haven't posted yet). I got a lot of amazing deals and wanted to share them with you all.

Thanks guys. I was very happy to find all of these gems.

Now, what about the $200 worth of beer?

I had a Hitachino Nest Beer from China and a West Coast IPA last night. They were great to say the least. :D
What I loved about th store was they had sections based on country of origin. I've never heard of half the beers from Belgium and the Czech Republic

I like the Quaker and Remington a lot, too. But that EO is sweet. This looks disturbingly like my knife collection. (i love those old flip ad knives)

Oh, and the Christy - love em. And you got that Opinel for a buck? That's the best buck you've spent in a while, I reckon. ;)

Nice finds. Glad you had fun.

Tom,

I´m glad you had a good time with your family at your vacation. :)

The knives you found are all great looking. Especially the XLCR and the EO Jack are some very nice examples.

Thanks for sharing your great finds!

Sweet finds. The Remington and bartender knife really speak to me. Did you negotiate price on most of them?

Wow, nice finds. That boy's knife would be a great pattern to be updated, oh wait..... :)

What a great trip. Family time and finding all those gems. A couple of those pay the admission for the pile. Couple of very nice pieces there.

Concerning the Unknown Chain Knife; here a couple very similar to yours tang stamped THE W & H CO (arched) over USA over NEWARK NJ. From Goins', "In business from 1870-1959. Whitehead & Hoag. They were an advertising specialties business and contracted their knives from a variety of cutlery manufacturers."

You cleaned em out. I really like that Ulster Lobster, looks grand. It's good fun, chasing down those old ones.

Very interesting. I don't think that my wife would go for it though. She likes to either drink margaritas on a beach or build houses in 3rd world countries on her vacations. :)

Nice haul, sir! That easy-open jack is a nice piece, real nice jigging and color on the bone. Looks like you had a good time!
