Ive gone to Blade Show for the past three years and refuse to plan anything on that weekend. I live about 30 minutes east of Atlanta, so the pilgrimage to the promised land is an easy one. I now know how much of a knife knut I am. When my girlfriend invited me to go on vacation to the beach with her family on the same weekend as Blade Show I declined at first. I ended the convo with an "I'll have to think about it." Without a doubt, I have been bitten by the bug.

A great gal is harder to find than a good blade.

I'd go on vacation.

I've found you can have more fun with a girl then a blade. I'd vote vacation too.

Man, I'd go on the vacation. Knives are just objects, though awesome objects, whereas the trust and love of a companion is much more.

I actually was invited on vacation with my girlfriend last night, but on the same weekend as an annual Memorial Day trip that I have missed because of a different girlfriend the last 3 years. I understand your predicament.

I'm pretty sure to make an educated answer, I'd need to revel a pic of the significant other in a bikini, and ask a few personal questions.

I'd choose the vacation if it were my wife doing the inviting.

"With her family" is a deal killer for me. That's not really a vacation IMO.

^^^^ What he said.

Counter with taking her someplace, like a suite in a 4 star hotel in Atlanta.

Do the right thing. Not always what you want, but what is moral. How important is this gal to you?

Dude..do you need too really ask this.???????

If she'd be willing to cancel her thing to go to Atlanta with you, then you cancel your thing and go on hers. If she wouldn't be willing to cancel her thing to support yours, then crack on and go and enjoy some blades.

It's a trap! She's trying to see if you are trainable. If you go with her and her family that's the end of it. The ring will be expected next. you will never, ever get to Blade:D

G.Moll,
Give Her father a nice folder, get him hooked, and then the entire family will go to Blade.
I am sure that if You talk knives ( I meant to say - nice ) to Her, She will understand.

But, in all seriousness the beach doesn't sound too bad either.
Keep in mind that one of us will end up with the knife that could have been Yours.

Beach, booze, and bikinis vs. a sausage fest in one of the most unpleasant cities in America.

There's no competition
