Vacuum forming tutorials?

Recently got a little vacuum/bag setup and in my research I've found that like most things, there are a million ways of going about vacuum forming. The tutorial I plan on following is here, but one thing it's missing is a welt. Are there any other good tutorials, steps or tips and tricks I'm missing? How do you go about vacuum forming leather sheaths?

One note is that I'll be doing this with carbon knives, so I'll be oiling and saran wrapping the blade.
