Well, it's not another Katana...... But it sure will make Heck on the Bushes here aside the yard!!

Blessed Be & Happy Valentines Day ALL!

My gosh, those are some excellent Valentine deals! Congrats to all the sharks---swinging a khuk is good for your heart.;)

I sent an email earlier today on the Kobra and the BAS and a couple purses from older threads....forgot to post in here :-)

That is a good price on the sword and also on the knives.
I have one of the Manjushrees and paid more a few years ago.
Does anyone have an idea about how wide the tang is on the hidden tang versions?? - mine is not a through tang.

16.5 inch 17 ounce villager Hasiya by Vim. Satisal wood handle. Gift number four at $50.
I'll take this one, have some thinning to do. Sending you an email.

Great deals! Truly a gift to us from a kind heart.

Interesting that the hasiya is still up for grabs... probably because its such a strange duck & people don't know what to do with it. I just finished re-sharpening mine. It hit some rocks & concrete today when I destroying weeds in the back yard. I get a lot of use out of it but tend to beat it up a bit. Luckily for me its easy to put the edge back on after abuse...

I'm pretty sure I did that transaction the right way....

Willow....

Pretty sure Ed is getting the Kobra by Sher for a NOT TOO late Valentines Gift (I can't think of a store that will deliver THAT FAST without charging a Hand, Arm & Foot to do it!)

On the other hand, if you're not careful, these knives will take hands, arms and feet pretty well on their own :-)

Great Valentine's day present to the Sharks! Those are some of the best prices I've seen on the AK and the sword. I paid more for my Manjushree and thought I got a steal on it.

This stuff went too fast, didnt even get a chance to breath!!!!

Cant wait till next valentine's day.

Warning: I am saving all my beer money till then, so you guys better watch this space.
I'll have the lot before you can pinch yourselves

The BAS and JKM-1 arrived today. Having never handled a BAS before, I was immediately aware that it strikes a rare balance between tool and weapon, capable in both respects yet not so large as to be burdensome for extended carry. If I could have only one khukuri, this would be close to my ideal (and with a chiruwa handle and a little weight taken off it would be perfect).

Thanks again, Yangdu!

p.s. The blade markings are mysterious. Listed as a Bura blade, it looks to have a full sun mark rather than the moon. The first devanagari syllable seems to be /la/ and the other I can't read. :)

Well, here's a-hoping that the Post Office will have that Blue and White triangular shipping container that we so LOVE to see a-waiting for us on the packages shelf...
It was shipped on the 14th.... but with the Monday "Holiday"... well it SHOULD be there today!!
Willow and I are thinking that this blade (15 inch 17 ounce Kobra by Sher. Horn handle. ) MAY be Our "villager" blade... Both She and I need a very Light-weight blade for a "user" as both She and I have concerns with our upper extremities (3x surgeries on my Left shoulder and multiple level cervical spine fusions for Willow).

Well, will let you all know if we can bring ourselves to bear actually use the Kobra and see the bright mirror finish get sort of dulled... of course work IS the reason we bought this blade!!
Ed

DocH and Willow, please post some pictures of your new blades if you can. I'd really like to see you guys using them if you can handle that. I'm recovering from a busted rib, hip and joint problems so I can somewhat sympathize.
