This folder is somewhat of a departure for me. Flat ground 3 1/2" Damasteel blade. Stabilized giraffe bone overlays.

I hope you like it! :)

Thanks, Neil. Figured I'd "take the day off" and finally finish grinding the blade on this one. :D

Here's another photo that shows the opening lever......

(This one is in BG-42 and has a pocket clip.)

I'm also working on a frame-lock version with different style opening levers.

Oh......

A double ended impact device when closed?? That is evil, PURE EVIL!!!

I LOVE IT :D

I think that this is one of the nicer looking knives that you have done, Tom. All the materials go so well together and I find the lines very pleasing.

I've never been much of a hawkbill fan but your knife could change that in a hurry! Love the way you flare the rear end of your knives Tom!

Tom, I can sum up my reaction in one word: "overwhelming."

And of course I don't mean too much knife. I mean that I am simply overwhelmed by how technically aggressive that is while still having amazing, flowing lines.

Very inspiring Tom...BEAUTIFUL!!! :)

Now let's get together and I'll make you some damascus for one ;)

I drew up the basic design about 3 years ago and, since then, have spent a lot of time working on all the little details.

Neil already pointed out that the Valkyre can be used defensively whether opened or closed. The extended lever also enhances confidance when the knife is open, as your thumb lies right on top of it in the sabre grip.

The difficult part (design wise) was getting everything to flow in a "natural" way.

I hoped folks would like it, because I really wanted to be able to continue experimenting with different design and construction ideas.

I'd be more than happy to include some of your damascus on one of these! :)

outstanding looking knife Tom and the photography is supurb as well as the post photographic portion of the final image.

Man that's a cool looking knife!

I love the looks of that giraffe bone! No doubt about it that knife looks like it all goes together in one sweet package.

Great job Tom or should I say Mr. Anderson.:D

I'm glad I didn't miss this one. Great looking design Tom! All the curves work off of eachother to perfection! Very Cool!!!
