I need some help with finding out more info on this
Valley Forge Cut.Co. Tear Drop Jack! Company started
in 1892.
I know that Boker had controlling intrest in the early 1900's!
The company was moved to NYC in 1916, And they had a few different
Trademarks! That's about all I know! I would love for anybody
who knows anything else to chime in and let me know!
It's a great little knife! Blades are pretty full, No blade wobble
snap isn't that great in the main blade, But the pen's snap is
outstanding! Great looking Swedges and a nice long pull!!
Thanks for the help!! Pics are ok! But could be better!

Sweet little piece of history there, Jason. Thanks for showing it to us.:cool:

Jason, I don't know anything about the company, but I really like that knife!

Got to like those old knives . Thanks for sharing it with us, with a thread.

My understanding is that Valley Forge was a small cutlery company that started up in the late 1800's. When Boker wanted to start manufacturing knives in the US in response to the McKinley tarriffs circa 1890's, they purchased the small Valley Forge plant and it became the Boker USA plant in Maplewood, NJ. Boker used both the Valley Forge and Boker USA trademarks. The Valley Forge name was used on high quality knives pre WWII but after the war it was used on a limited basis on less expensive knives. The Boker USA plant was sold to J Wiss & Sons in 1969 and then the Cooper Group acquired Wiss. The Boker USA plant was moved to Georgia in the ealry 80's then shut down by Cooper.

If you post in the Bernard Levine forum you may get a more exacting history.

Steve, Thank you very much! I will post it on BL's forum!
But You gave me a Wonderful answer! Thanks for taking the
time to do so!! I was getting worried that I would have a hard
time finding any info on the Company and the knife as well!
Thanks to everybody for checking it out!
