So I just received a really old looking knife from a classmate at school. It looks very old and solid, needs a little touch up. The stamp on the steel says "Valor 10998 Japan." I looked Valor up and couldn't really find a lot of info on them. Does anybody know the type of steel used on this knife? All I could find was this knife was probably an Air Force or Navy pilot survival knife. It has a nice stacked leather handle on it and the original sheath. I was hoping to spend a little money cleaning it up and using it, but before I do, I would like to know if it's worth it.
