Anyone have an idea of the ballpark value of a lightly used older version Cold Steel Recon Scout w/Carbon V? The knife isn't in new condition but the only wear is a little wear on the black coating along the edge on both sides. It's still in it's original Secure-Ex sheath. It's mainly been used to break down cardboard boxes at my office and a couple times I cut back some pine branches behind our house with it, chops very well for its size...5/16" thick and 12.5" long.

Just wondering if it's worth enough to take the time and effort to sell and if not no big deal it's not costing me anything and it eats very little. :D

Thanks in advance for any insight you may have.

if it's been used and you don't have the box, i'm thinking around the $60-$70 mark?

The carbon V usually can attract a little more value. It is a desireable steel IMO.

Registered users are not allowed to ask for value estimates, new rules, I'm just letting you know. Check the internet Auction sites for what people are really getting for them.

+1 that's about what I'd pay. Pics would help. Without it's just a guess.

I'm sorry, didn't mean to break any rules and wasn't trying to sell here or even at this time, just going through my inventory of blades and other things I had boxed up and wasn't sure if the older Carbon V version had a bit more value to it.

I apologize for not knowing that rule. I thought you had a be a gold member to sell here but I didn't know you couldn't ask an opinion. My bad.
