I have a Large Regular Sebenza with double thumb lugs with box and all paperwork. It is lightly used and carried by a single owner.

I want to know what it is worth.

I am interested in trading for another Sebenza.

The double lug is an option liked by some but not a huge deal. I'd say right at $600-650 IMO if the blade is not marred or has any issues. Good Luck.
 
I'm no expert appraiser but I have sold a few regulars and I'd say that with the s30v steel you'll be lucky to get $600 for it. I'd sooner say $550 tops but that's just my experience.
 
I agree with flyingjon. Since it has s30v probably $550 ballpark. Maybe a bit more maybe a bit less.
 
They're around. A guy had one just like that last month, he couldn't get $500 for it, but he'd have gotten a bit less easily.
 
I am looking for a large regular with BG-42 or ATS-34.
What would be the price difference in those compared to a s30v?

I'd be prepared to lay down $150-200 more for a BG-42. I don't know about ATS-34, but would hazard a guess that they'll go for close to the same, maybe more. There's so few of those on the exchange in a large. There's been a small popping up every once in a while as it traded hands.
 
Being used, carried often, and S30V I would say $500 tops.
If it were BG-42 it would bring about $100 more(IMO).
Just my opinion though. Hard to predict what these older knives may bring.
 
I often wonder what the value of my BNIB with all papers lg seb in bg42 is worth? I bought it in 1998 and never used it. I purchased 2 at that time thinking I would give one to my son when he was old enough but he has no interest in knives.

Agreed! That's $175 more than I got out of mine in similar condition after a couple weeks and numerous offers and bartering. Good luck to the seller though. Sometimes there's a guy that wants something and right NOW! They'll pay about anything.
