Hello all!

I've had the Queen made 2009 forum barlow for a while and I'm curious as to what it's worth. Figured this was a good place to ask. This one has the fattest stag covers I've ever seen! It' gorgeous.

Thanks!

Those only show up very rarely, last one I could find sold for 225, if I were to have one to sell, I'd ask higher and if it doesn't move would gradually lower the price. Having thick stag can be a bonus or a detriment, depending on the prospective buyers preference.

In the end it's only worth what someone is willing to pay, and that particular knife had a really nice look to it, for me the fat stag would be a detriment if it's overly thick. If your not planning on listing it, then it's only worth what it's worth to you personally.

This sub-forum has its own posting guidelines, which you might have missed:

"We want the forum to focus upon the discussion of traditional knives...not the purchasing process, prices nor vendors and their websites."

You're probably better asking elsewhere

Since you are a Gold Member your question is not out of place here. I'm not sure that Levine's would be any better a place for your question.

This is from the guidelines posted at the top of the first page in this forum.

In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only.
Even with that caveat, the Traditional forum is probably not the proper venue for such questions and such threads may be moved to a more appropriate area of the site.

Edited to add:
"We want the forum to focus upon the discussion of traditional knives...not the purchasing process, prices nor vendors and their websites."
Jack's post was also from the guidelines but refers more to discussing prices, dealers and purchasing. Something that goes on here a lot more then Frank or like.
