Hello , I need to know the value of a USED but not abused SH2E.
The knife is black crinkle coated with i think green and blackish canvas micarta handle scales with orignal black cordura sheath with pouch.
Like I said it is used with wear marks in the coating and a tiny bit of fraying on the belt loop of the sheath.
I understand that it is difficult to give a value with out seeing the blade in your own hands, any info anyone can give will really help me out.
Thank you

I think the SH-E like you mentioned is worth about $125. Just email me and I'll give you the money if you are in dire straights. ;)

Seriously though, The last one that went, just went for $360 and it didn't last a day. So you can sell yours for that much as well I would think.

Was that for a used one?
Is this knife still made?

I doubt it was used, but Busse knives hold their value.
No, the E Series has been put to bed.

The SH-E that was recently sold, which had an asking price of $360, was listed as mint, unused.

If I wanted to buy a user Steel Heart E, I would balk at anything over $280 with sheath, shipped.

Of course, all you need is one buyer who badly wants one, so you can't ever tell what someone might do.

With a few exceptions Busse knives sell used for within $50.00 of the new price.

After a Busse knife goes out of production the price normally goes up $50.00 to $100.00 on a $300.00 knife.

So, a used Steel Heart out of production is commonly the price of a new one or a bit higher for the first two years or so, then the price can climb.

The Steel Heart, being the most commonly collected Busse tends to be the best indicator of used Busse knife pricing trends.

The new price of a Steel Heart-E was $297.00, so a used one I would expect to sell at around that price now, and would expect that to climb more slowly than the price of one in new condition because many were purchased to save older models from getting used.

As "new" Steel Heart-E's will be tough to find in the future I think.
