I have a set of Case knives in a nice wooden display box. There are 9 numbered knives that have never been used and we have original boxes and stickers. We are trying to determine the value of the knives with the display box. The box displays their original value, but we aren't sure of resale value. Can anyone help?

got to be more detailed! What type of handles, year made etc?

The boxes say 04/04/02. The handles are Genuine Natural Bone and the blades are Stainless Steel. We are wanting to sell the entire set of 9 knives in wooden display case, but do not know where to sell and how to get what they are worth. The display case shows the order #, pattern #, blade steel, and price for each knife. Is the entire set worth more than the total of all the knives? Have the knives increased or decreased in value over the past 3 years?

You'd have to list the specifics of each knife. Also pictures would be nice. Then they will probably move this to the slip joint form.

Again, lay out some details. Case sells a zillion collectible knives a year and you'll have to give more info. Most Cases have bone scales, but the color could be quite important. There are many traditional slipjoint patterns, which one(s) are yours?

The value will depend on how "really" collectible the knives are, since Case knives are primarily marketed to collectors, not users. If they do have any value, they will probably have more as a set than broken up.

Until you can give specifics, it's like going to a classic car forum and asking what your old car is worth. Unless you can give some details, like "mint Dusenberg" or "worn-out '77 Ford Pinto" they aren't gonna be able to help you much.
