Would anyone know if older CR knives made
in Africa are more valuable than similar
current models? If so,is there a rule of
thumb on what might be a percentage of
value increase? Thanks in advance for any
help offered.

How old or unusual are the knives? The SA do command a premium, no matter what they are. I can’t give you a rule of thumb because I have seen prices all over the spectrum. I have 30+ CR knives, about half of them are SA. Most of the US knives I have do not have SA equivalents,. When I first started buying CR knives, the SA knives were priced the same as US knives. As the years went by, the prices inched up. For the most part, I have been lucky on getting the knives at a decent price. I had to pass on some others with gut-wrenching prices I simply could not afford.
