Value of the randall model#14&mini randall model 14

The mini does have a serial number. The full sized #14 does not. (Someone may have engraved that number on it, or it may have been sent to the Randall shop to have that number etched, but it is not a serial number.)

I had the serial # put on the the full size #14 as did many other Randalls collectors it make a nice display. I saw the two #14s on ebay for $1,425 and I though thaty was a little high. Thanks for your feedback. That's a killer user ID, if you ever deceide to change to a differant one let me know, have a great day cut_n_run.

David,

Even with the nicely matched serial numbers, the market seems to be a bit low these days, especially with Model #14's, and even more so with the mini #14's. What are they worth, IMO, in today's market? From a low end reseller purchase price, to that of a high end collector (not to say there aren't high end resellers or low end collectors), probably between $700 and $1100, in a worse to best case scenario....and in a 'no reserve' auction format, i.e. the real spot market, I'm pretty sure the realized price would be much closer to the low end*

Hope that helps,

Shel

*As many of you know, I almost never publicly give a valuation to any given RMK...but David has been here a long time and has always been a gentleman. :)

"The market seems to be a little low these days." I love that. Truth is, if the market was any more dead, it would be starting to stink.

This stupid recession can't possibly last forever, can it? Hang onto them (if you can) until things improve.

I think your right, this is not a good time to be selling and I will not give any of my knives away. But my health is not getting any better and I would like to find a good home for my collection. Both of my Sons do not want them and I do not want to leave them for my wife of 43 years to have to mess with them. Thanks for the info.
