I have had these two Spyderco knives for a long time and am curious about their value. I messaged Sal Glesser about these two knives and this is what he had to say.

Hi Vincent,

We made the Goddard for the Oregon Knife club. Nice piece, rare.

The Seal Team knives were all made for customer that sold/gave them to the Seal Teams. Many of the Seal Team carry Spyderco's.

I don't know what they might be worth.

The first is pretty rare; it is a large size Goddard but a special edition made for the Oregon Knife Collector Association. In 1998 Spyderco made only 60 of these, and this is marked #47 of 60. It is new condition and came in a Spyderco padded zippered taco. The image of the Beaver is made completely of different pieces of wood, except for his eye and the Oregon shaped OKCA plaque.

The second knife is a fully serrated GIN-1 stainless Spyderco Police model With a logo of US Navy Seal Team 2 engraved on the handle. It is not serialized and it is also in like new condition and in it's original red Spyderco box.

Thank you for any information and / or valuation you can give me about these knives.

Those engraved SEAL models tend to bring $250-350 depending on the team engraved. They're somewhat rare, but findable.

As a Police Model collector for several years, I can't say the engravings add much (if any) to the value. A pristine example wouldn't have much of a story attached. In my mind it resonates "wannabe" rather than "operator".

The Goddard looks to be Santa Fe Stoneworks embellishment. Their larger pieces get pretty pricey (why I don't have an "Earthling" Police Model in my collection, can't afford one). They might be able to give you an idea of the original price, anyway.
