Value Used Hinderer XM-18 3.5" Gen 2

Hi everyone,

I haven't been around here in quite a while - took a break from buying knives after I got my carry collection (CRK Mnandi, CRK Umnumzaan, WH E10, Hinderer XM-18). I recently got out of the Marine Corps and it turns out that civilians get uncomfortable when you pull an XM-18 out...so its been sitting in a drawer in deference to the Mnandi and WH.

I'm in need of some cash and looking to sell, but having some trouble finding any sort of valid pricing on a Gen 2 - lots of Gen 4s, a few Gen 3s...but I couldn't find any Gen 2 values.

The knife has black scale, Spanto Flipper blade and either Stonewash or BB (not sure which). It is in good condition, but was carried quite a bit and sharpened (on my edgepro) - edge and blade are in good condition.

If anyone has an idea of what I should ask for it - please let me know. I intend to post it in the exchange once I figure out how much to ask for it...

Thank you for your service and for being honest about potentially listing the knife for sale.

So many come around looking for info. without disclosing their intent to then list their item for sale.

I believe there is a general BF rule that disallows price conversations for non-paying members.

But I'll say this, do not let it go for less than current similar but unused XMs sell for in the X. Unless, of course, the knife is used to a point that price adjustment is the right thing to do.

Post some good pics of it's condition. That'll help give a starting point.
 
It really depends on condition.... A true gen 2 safe queen can fetch some serious $ (1200-1400) but if you've carried for some time and its been sharpened outside the ranch your looking at current gen prodo prices or so IMO. That said I would love to see what you ask and may be interested myself depending on condition.
