knife value:

BM 710
D2 PE
Black Coated blade
#250/500
Gray aluminum scale w/ black micarta inlay
Form fitted aluminum clam shell box

any other additional info would be helpful

This was a limited run knife, no longer produced, so I would expect it to bring more than the current run knives.

FWIW, $120-150 is more than the current production 710s in D2 (those run $100-120 from most reputable sellers)

I think the only 710's you can expect to sell at a good price are the M4 models. They seem to be the hot ticket now. Look on ebay for prices for your knife. That will give you a good ball park. But then again you may get someone that just wants it bad.

I just today picked up an MT LCC pse unused from 2k for what I thought was a bogus offer by me, but the seller took it, much to my surprise. I know it is worth a few hundred more than what I paid straight up if I resold it on ebay. At least that is what I have seen them going for on ebay, forums like this where folks are educated about such things, maybe not. keepem sharp

Like new, carried, never sharpened or used to cut. I would have expected to see $220-250. Maybe its just the economy is hurting the collector values too.

imho no 710's will bring anywhere near that kinda dollar, i have a 710 prototype with alloy anodized handles and such, ~ 350 or so made, it would bring $150 or so on a good day, maybe $175, and imho its worth as much/more than most any 710.

generally BM pre-pro's, prototypes and limited runs arent any big collector item,

but hey give it a try maybe i'm wrong lol................

well it looks like I'll just put it back in the safe as any other action would result in a LOSS!

Purchased new in what I thought was 99' but my research has indicted that this model was not released until 03' so now I'm a bit confused:confused:. All indications are that it was a sprint run in 03' with gray anodized aluminum w/ G10 in lay, D2 BT coated Axis lock. However I am positive that the inlays are micarta and NOT G10, was it possible that both materials were used depending on supply.

The scale coating does not appear to be an anodization rather some type of a ceramic based coating with a dull/matte rough grippy finish.

Try putting it up on the benchmade forum site, most likely place to get top value for it.
