Values for KAS Steigerwalt "Bullet" knives?

I just got four of these knives marked KAS. I have found some prices for Steigerwalt knives on the Internet but they are all very fancy and many around $5,000 ! I doubt mine are worth anywhere near that. Based on some paperwork that came with them I guess they were made in late 1980s. All are like new, never used, never sharpened.

One productive approach and definitely the first best approach would be to contact Ken directly, see how he views them in relation to his body of work and the interests of his various collectors. A good clear direction for you will probably come out of that conversation. eBay, many think, offers a realistic market-based view of current knife values, if you can find similar or other comparable items. Less wordy than my good friend Buddy, but hopefully as helpful.:)

Single blades are anywhere from $300.00-$500.00

Double blades are anywhere from $500-$700.00

This is for new condition. These look like they have some minor scratches that Ken should be able to buff out for you.

I am an eBay pro but with old fishing tackle. 60,000 completed auctions and have authored two price guides. I have sold a few custom knives there but even then I had no idea what they were worth. Just started them cheap and took whatever I got. Listed some high end knives recently with high (too high apparently!) Buy it Now or make offer but no luck. It helps to know what you are doing when pricing stuff and I am a newbie with knives.

I have searched eBay for similar KAS knives with no luck. I will try to contact the maker as you suggest. Having a similar problem with a bunch of other "bullet" knives by modern makers. Lots of searching for prices but no good comparables.

Hello My dad I Ken Steigerwalt. I only said bullet knife and he said the ones he are selling about $500 if that helps you out at all, and he is always happy to fix things up so just shoot him an email.

BTW, your Dad makes some AMAZING knives. But I'm sure you already knew that!
