Attention VG Guardian Angels!!!!

PhilL has created an icon to be used ONLY by the Guardian Angels. You may use it in your signature. Here is the link to the icon.

This icon will identify you as one of the VG Angels. I have a list of everyone who has contributed to the VGGA Fund. Illegal use of this icon may find your name submitted to that list in Pirate's Cove.

I love it, but since Thomason has it now, I guess I better get rid of it. :D.

I know... I posted everywhere. Well, 3 places. I wanted to make SURE that the VG Angels got the message!!!

Thanks for the luck.... I may need it. :D It will definitely be a busy weekend for the Gerbil and me. Maybe I can talk him into giving me one of his knives! ;)

I'm glad you folks like the icon, it does my heart good when I see those little flying VG's. But, the only angel here is Judy. Yeah we've collected money before and helped out members where we could, but Judy has arranged to get VG help for the next year. I couldn't plan my life for the next week, she's got him covered for the year. :eek:

Judy have a safe trip, do what you can, but don't make yourself nuts. That's VG's job. :D

All of these little flying VG's doesn't mean he has spawned a litter, does it? If I get to his apartment tomorrow and see mini-VG's flying around, I'll have to get out the fly swatter!

And I beg to differ, but I didn't do hardly anything except confuse people with a gazillion threads in every forum. :D If you guys had not pitched in, I could not have arranged for diddly. BTW... Who the heck IS Diddly, anyway?

I think it would be difficult for VG to drive me more crazy in person than he does over the phone! Bless his little warped rodent heart. I can only do what I can do this weekend. Priorities are computer and groceries.

Just wait until Dave logs into BFC and see's little flying VG's!!! How funny will THAT be?

I hope that everyone who contributed to the VG Fund puts the flying VG icon in their signature. Wouldn't that just be sooooooooooooooooooo cool? It will be like a secret club that was never secret because it was opened up for EVERYONE to join.

How does one do a secret handshake in type-talk?:confused:

I'm not sure if a "registered user" has the ability to goose with the signature feature. If that is so, registered users who helped out will not be able to use the icon in their signature. I think Judy will testify they are still angels none the less.

Darn straight I will testify to that! I have the names of every single BFC member who contributed to the VG Fund. Every one of them is a Flying VG Bastid Angel.

Can a Basic Member have an icon in their signature?

Mere Registered Users cannot have a sig. Basic Members can. Your $10 a year will help keep this forum going.

Any miscreant who falsely displays this badge of honor can expect to be defenestrated.

Yeah Coug, the wings are retroactive and I remember you helping out with the first collection!
 
VG's wife Stacey died two years ago today. VG was not in good shape even at Blade 2004. His wife died and he soon went into a coma. He needed our help then. You people helped. You deserve VG wings.

We tried to get VG back online last year, people kicked in to get him a new computer. You deserve VG wings.

Judy, figured out this way to help make his life a little easier, by helping with his grocery shopping and cleaning. You people helped. You deserve wings.

Judy should be at VG's right this minute, to give him some first hand help, and to figure out what he really needs. We all want him back online and posting here. Some folks stepped up to pay for his ISP. You deserve wings.

I hope when VG does get back online and reads some of these threads about him and he sees a bunch of these Flying VG icons, and knows that these are folks that cared enough about him to help that it will make him happy. He's had little enough to be happy about these last two years. That's all I care about.

I'm really sorry that Basic members that helped VG can't put VG wings in their signature. Only paying members can have a signature. My feelings are if you're willing to help VG you probably should help support these forums. After all without BFC you wouldn't know about VG. Just because VG or Spark don't ask for your help doesn't mean they don't need or deserve it. But, do what you feel is right.

If you feel you deserve VG wings then please put them in your signature. I think when Judy gets back she'll probably be asking some of you that have helped and haven't added the wings to your signature to do so. I think if you took the time to call him and ask him how he was that's good enough for me. You deserve wings.
