Ok, what do you guys think of the CRKT Van Hoy Snap Fire? I like the look of the knife, and finally got to handle one today at River's Edge. I think it has a good feel to it, and in interesting locking mechanism. It's not too pricy, and has a cool look. Does anybody here own one? Pros or cons? Anything? I'm just looking for some opinions.

Thanks guys.

Apparently winning an award for "most innovative knife". But, it has so many exposed areas in the handle and decorative holes in the blade that seem unecessary and decorative and detract from ease of cleaning. But, if it strikes your fancy. Buy it!

I'm just into more practical knives that look good because they're rugged.

CLiff, I usually am the same way..I know waht you are saying about practicality and what not...but this si the first knife on looks alone I have liked. I got my hands on one and the locking mechanisim was very unique...I just...don't know. I want to hear from some owners too. Thanks for the response!

I'm all for it for whatever purposes suit it. If I had that knife, which I do own a more stylish knife too. I use it on days when I go out with the girlfriend (so I don't scare her with the big knives) or parents party, etc. Seems like adequate steel for the moola.
