gave my brother a van hoy snap a few weeks before christmas, thought it was a neat design. It might be neat but not too strong, he already snapped off one of the pivot points off the blade, knife is done. think columbia will replace it? I'll tell you in a few weeks

I had a screw hole strip out on that same model, one of the small holes where the clip attaches. I haven't sent mine in yet, so post back and I'll decide whether to or not.

I liked that the van hoy snap lock 2, gave a few to my friends... the blade steel is trash though.

They both lost them going into a club and forgetting that they were in the change pockets... wish I could get them the same knife with better steel. AUS4 is such garbage.

That is disheartening to hear. I like CRKT knives a lot but obviously some of thier knives are poorly made.... No piece on a knife should just snap off during normal use.
Maybe it is poor QC ? I own several CRKT's and not a one has been poop (yet - knock on wood).
