Vanguard style(s)?

Is it possible to find a real Vanguard with Rubber handles with something other than a BRASS butt and guard?

Welcome to the Buck forum. I probably have 60-70 Vanguards in my collection. The only 2 materials I could come up with are brass and nickel silver. I couldn't find nickel silver on a 691/692 though. I have a china fake that seems more like potmetal or aluminum, can't tell.

Just curious, is you objection to brass for reasons of appearance or function?

Yes, rubber handles came only with brass guard and pommel - up to now

Welcome DonDinero , The 192 Vanguard with nickel silver finger guards and pommels
only appear on a few Buck Buildouts and Special project knives the buildout knives are listed as

0192B06-B
0192B07-B

Here's a few of the special project knives , I'm sure there are 2-3 others
here are a few that I have .

The black knife you posted would be Perfect if it had the rubber handle IMO.

Well Don this is where our buddy Leroy Remer comes in and your give him
a NS Vanguard and he makes a knife that does not exist yet and thats a
Buck Vanguard with nickel silver finger guard and a rubber handle . :thumbup:
