I headed out to Gander Mt earlier and got as far as the click, click of the truck ignition. Batteries are both dead I guess. Was gonna get some of the $2.99 corn and brouse the knives and guns. So new batteries in the morning and then Gander. Its an 01 and original batteries... I have been expecting it.
Least will have new ones going into hunting season.

You will like the Vanguard:thumbup:

Watch around, you can find them with the wood (BR) handle, black rubber, camo rubber, BLUE rubber handle, Buffalo handles, elk handles...
ionfusion blades :D serrated blades, buckcote blades...
laser cutouts, acid etches, engraved, the list goes on and on and on...

Yes, you sure want new ones for hunting season.Do you have a cabella's
in Houston? They did not have the s30v Vanguard at Gander mt.So I got the wood handle one like my brother-in-law has been crowing about for 3 or 4 years.I will try to break it ,the 103 , 119 and 110 Christmass tin , during
the first weeek of deer season.

Just buy 2 standard Vanguards with 420HC, Almost as good anyway and you wont be afraid to use them :D Probably cheaper too :)

S30V to me is too expensive for user/abuser...
 overrated too:confused:

I ordered mine from Cabellas before I knew they had the one at Buda. I go by there some times. Is a Gander Mt about 5 mi from here. Usually too expensive for me tho. Unless you grab one of their sales. Last sale I grabbed a .17hmr NEF and then drove 30 miles out to Katy to Bass Pro and bought a scope... Go figure...

Oh,,,got the rubber handle 192 for the user.

O.K.!!!!
But just so you know pack rat - ( I cant guarantee it wont get lost in the mail) :D

I have the Cabelas Guide series 110... I just cant use it...
Maybe when the Buck trade forum gets up and running I will trade for a Vanguard or zipper (AG)

Out of all my Buck Knives, all I ever use are the standard models, with the exception of Alpha Gut hook and possibly a Sirus GY... ATS-34 in these is reasonable but I just cant see using a $65.00 Cabelas 110 when my $20.00 wal mart special cuts just great!! Maybe not sharp as long but my Lansky works great!!! :D

I have a Vanguard woody that I lost. So, I guess I should've stated "I had a Vanguard woody".

Well, anyway, I went about a year and ordered another one. And guess what? It's in its' box and I just take it out and look at it. Standard steel. Nothing special except it being a beautiful knife.

You can thank The Rodent for the avatar pic(s). He get's some whack stuff out to me :)
No animals were harmed in the actual production of my avatars. Any animal displaying abnormal appearances were maimed from a pre-existing condition prior to my loving care. Your mileage may vary.

I know how you feel about looking at them.Goose. But I do plan to
use it for my deer hunting this year.
