Vantage avid scales...?

I picked up an avid with aluminum scales(13c26 blade) and was wondering if the g10 scales "grab" the pants pocket cloth like the aluminum does? Was thinking about buying some "smoother" scales for it.

Anyone else know if the g10, or whatever the other scales on the pro are called, are smoother than the aluminum?
Thanks

I've never seen one with aluminum scales? All the ones I own are FRN, dymonwood, and G10. My g10s are very smooth

I haven't seen a metal scaled one either, a photo would be great. I have no problems with any, other than the clips scratch wooden chairs if carried in back pocket. 300

Thats the vantage force, which is different from the original vantage. Its probably the texture of the handle that’s causing the problem. The g10 or nylon scales have the same texture on the vantage force.

I would think by carrying and using the knife it will smooth itself up and be fine. Or you could speed up that process just rubbing the scales with a little polish and cloth. :D I have never seen aluminum scales are you sure they're not G-10? If they are G-10 you can just take some fine sandpaper and smooth them to your liking

Thanks, o_O I've seen those before and just figured they were G-10  Oh well I think carrying the aluminum scale version should smooth em up. I wouldn't sand on those
