Howdy folks-

I'm looking into getting one of the Buck Vantage series for an EDC and partially as a woods blade (as an adjunct). I'm planning on getting an Avid at the moment. Does anyone know if any online retailers currently/usually have this in stock? Or are the Vantage blades as difficult to locate as they were a few months ago?

Thanks for any info!

Well Spooky I think you will like your Vantage.
My Vantage Pro has been in my pocket everyday since I got it.
I love the flipper on it. Used it a lot today bass fishing. Lots of rerigging as I took a young fella (11ys) for his first trip. He had a blast and caught the most fish of the three of us. A one hand opening knife is a great conveniance in the boat.

Thanks much! I've been hunting something with a smooth axis and 'full' grip. A lot of my folders are either too anemic or too hefty. I'm also a fan of sandvik steel so the Avid makes sense for me.

The Vantage "greased lightning" fast/smooth. I think its a knife with "big knife" cabablity but feels like a smaller knife in terms of thickness and weight. And that price is really good too.

Come back with a review for us after you've used it a bit.

SP I would go back a few pages and check out another thread on the Vantage Avid if you choose to get yours online as there were issues with the lock up and the blade not lining up centered. It seemed kind of hit or miss. I had a local knife shop bring one in for me and I ended up sending it back. Awesome design, comfortable grip, sharp blade but came with the issues I mentioned above. Is there some place local you can purchase it from? That way you can check it out in hand before purchasing. The one I received did not live up to the workmanship I'm used to from Buck.
