I posted some pics of my customized Vantage Avid a while ago, well I've done a bit more to it now, high polished the blade and ground the flipper off and reshaped that area. I've also put a wicked sharp edge on it.

Looks good sawyer, except where is the Buck etch:confused: What did you use to polish it, rouge? Great job on those scales:thumbup:

The Buck etch was unfortunately sacrificed for the polish, may it rest in peace... Seriously though it took me two days of increasingly higher grit emery to do it, no actual polish was used just emery then finally super fine metal wool.

It looks nice. I'd wish Buck would make a CKS option of S30V with a mirror polish. I'd keep the flipper though. (my own taste, since I use it all the time.)

One thing I've noticed from using the Vantage Pro a lot: The pocket clip chews up my pockets. I think I'll be returning to a sheath knife for EDC as soon as I get my Paperstone BCCI 110's.

Maybe Buck could offer a leather sheath for the Vantage Pro (since the clip is easily removable.)

Your jigged scales are nice.

Nice work. I've thought about stippling my new vantage avid scales. Maybe not the entire scale, but one or more of the sections of the dymondwood.
