awhile back i bought one of the Vantage knives and have been carrying it instead of my CSAR when wearing shorts due to its lighter weight.
anyway, i noticed last night that it had developed a "grit" when i opened it up so i assumed it had some typical pocket "fuzz" in it, so i grabbed a can of G96 and hit it with a small squirt to knock out whatever was in there. now when i close it, the blade actually rubs on one side and is very loose side to side when closed, but if i open it, it locks up with no play.
i tried tightening the pivot screw and that isnt the issue either. it wasnt loose when i decided to clean it out, did i do something wrong?
ive used G96 for years on every kinda knife/gun imaginable and its never softened up any polymer or nylon so i cant see how that would be the problem.
